Turkey Chili

Turkey Chili serves 6 *
This chili brings rave reviews and is easily doubled for a party. The beef eaters in my family approve of my Turkey adaptation.

1 yellow onion, diced
1 yellow bell pepper, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 zucchini, diced
½ jalapeno, minced
3 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon olive oil
¾ lb ground turkey breast
1 25 oz can diced tomatoes (fire roasted are great)
1 12 oz porter (Sierra Nevada porter or an oatmeal porter)

1. sauté onion, peppers and spices in olive oil in large soup pot over medium heat
2. add turkey to pot and brown
3. add tomatoes and porter
4. bring to simmer and leave uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 30-45 minutes
5. enjoy

* great over rice or with cornbread
