Lentils with anise
Lentils with anise serves 6 as a side with Mixed Vegetable Curry (recipe on main page)
1 1/2 cup french or green lentils
1 tablespoon anise seeds
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
salt to taste
1. Rinse lentils and cover with about 2 inches of water in medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil.

Lower heat to a gentle boil and cook uncovered for about 45 minutes or
until tender. Add a bit of water and stir occasionally through cooking
time. Salt to taste.
